Mitch & Meghan, part of the Scrimgeour Group with eXp Realty, hear this question from families buying in Victoria and from sellers who want their listing to get it right. Here is the short answer and how to check any address.
What school district is Victoria, MN in?
Most of Victoria is in Eastern Carver County Schools, District 112, which also serves Chanhassen, Chaska and Carver. Some Victoria homes are in Waconia Public Schools (District 110) or Minnetonka Public Schools (District 276). A Victoria address alone won't tell you the district, so check each home by its street address.
Which schools serve Victoria homes in District 112?
District 112 assigns every home to its schools by address, and Victoria Elementary is one of its elementary schools. The district states it plainly: a student's home address determines school assignment. Its Find My School tool, on the Map and Attendance Boundaries page at district112.org, shows the elementary, middle and high school for a specific house.
Are some Victoria homes in the Waconia or Minnetonka school districts?
Some Victoria homes are, and some Victoria neighborhoods are bused to Minnetonka or Waconia schools instead of District 112. Both districts list Victoria as a city they serve. 7990 Acorn Circle in Lakebridge, a home we listed this month, is in Waconia District 110. Call the school district to confirm which neighborhoods are bused where.
Why does the school district matter when I sell my Victoria home?
The district on your listing has to be right, since many families with kids start their home search by district. If it's wrong, the buyers who want your district may never see the house. We confirm the district with the district's own lookup before your Victoria listing goes live.
How do I check which school district my Victoria home is in?
Your property tax statement lists a school district line with the district number, so start there. Then enter your address in that district's school finder to see the exact schools. For District 112, use Find My School at district112.org. For a Waconia or Minnetonka address, check with that district directly.
How do I keep my kids in the same schools when I move up in Victoria?
Check the district and the attendance area of the next home before you write an offer. Two homes a few streets apart can be assigned to different schools. We'll look it up with you for any home you're considering. See how we time the sale and the purchase on our Victoria moving up or downsizing page.
Selling your Victoria home and want the school details right on the listing? Call or text Mitch & Meghan at (612) 720-5171. We'll confirm your district and assigned schools before your home goes on the market.
